Types Of Charters Available

Bareboat Charter…A Bareboat Charter is when you, the guest and your crew, are totally responsible for the safe operation of the boat, including sailing, anchoring and docking.  Often compared with renting a car, bareboat charter guests are "self drive", as compared with renting a limousine with a driver. With several years of experience, most sailors can easily qualify to Bareboat in the BVI.  Normally after one Learn-to-Sail program, one can qualify for a Bareboat Charter.

Refresher Course...One or two day, refresher courses are available for the experienced skipper that needs a brush up on his skills.  The skipper gets off after the agreed upon time and the Bareboat Charter continues.  This program is quite flexible in that the guest can ask the skipper to stay longer if needed.

Learn-To-Sail Program…Caribbean Sailing endorses may of the sailing schools that offer programs to maximize your learning and enjoyment, from recreational to ASA certified instructors.  We also offer crewed yachts with teaching skippers who should be able to teach you enough in one week to allow you to charter bareboat the next time.

Crewed Charter…With a crewed charter, we supply a fully experienced skipper and/or cook to guide you through your sailing adventure.  The skipper is available to operate the boat according to the wishes of the charter guest, and is there to take you where you want to go, when you want to go, and by what route you want to go, provided that everyone and the boat will be safe.  They recommend overnight anchorages, restaurants and great tourist locations and are a great source of local knowledge.
